like marmite, you either love it or hate it. for those that love it its that time of year again where the discussions start again for the next chapter of Call of Duty Ghosts.

normally i buy CoD games on PS3 since my clan is on the platform and they have way more players compared to PC. This time however, it's too soon to get a PS4 and the PS3 version will look horrible compared to the rest . Just hope the changes they made to the perk system won't complicate the game too much.

 

While i enjoyed Black Ops 2 im skipping Ghost & Battlefield 4 for Titanfall. Mechs make any game more awesome just like Battlefield 2142.

 

yeah titanfall looks promising. the only problem however is that it won't be released until early 2014.

 

dual render scope looks amazing, why battlefield won't implement the same technology I don't know, it shouldn't be super hardware heavy (especially with the next gen coming up)

 

now this does look rather interesting. a lot more so than last years blops 2

I hope combat training will return. Nothing is more fun on a friday night and when you had some bad games and just cool off and slaughter some bots with insane scores.

 

Loved that too, so for it has only been on black ops 1 & 2 and surprisingly not on the game in between, mw3.

I think it's just going to feel like mw2 and 3 and not fresh. If it is fresh I'll consider buying it, if it turns out to be modern warfare 1 update 4 I'm skipping it.

If I was into multiplayer shooters, I would be super excited about Titanfall. COD still is the same basic game its been for the past half dozen games. Titanfall is not only cool, but a real change of pace.

There's usually enough choices on the shelves to please almost everyones taste and genre.

I prefer First Person Shooter campaigns and rarely play anything else.

In MW2 and MW3 it's the Special Ops that kept me interested and going back for more.

Less video and more game play plus grenades that don;t bounce like basketballs,roll like a bowling ball and don't fly 100 yards would be welcomed in any shooter.

Enemies that don't move like gazelles would be nice also.

Still nothing about CT (or anything like it) .

 

I'm not interested in using dogs to kill people. I don't really understand why Activision wants to... Maybe that's what Activision employees do, train their dogs to become killing machines and use them to torture people... I find it hard to believe that many people will get excited by deploying dogs into a fight, into a room full of rifles.

Yeah it's a game. But as someone who loves dogs and owned them as pets, when I watch Ghosts trailer, makes me feel sick. Physically sick.

BLOPS2 I rarely ever seen anyone use a dog perk. And few times I do, I do not enjoy killing the dogs. I really don't get it, what do dogs do to deserve getting shot by assault or submachine guns?

Also will boycott all Infinity Ward games. I think it's a disgrace that anyone would work for a company named Infinity Ward knowing what happened to the founders and previous original staff. Just me. Seems hypocritical of me playing other Activision games, but makes sense in my head.

 

So killing people then is OK for you? An interesting logic you have there.

 

I don't really care if you don't get it. Have fun killing dogs or sending dogs directly into enemy fire.

I explained why I won't be playing Ghost. And for me, it's a damn good reason.

I agree with this, especialy with the bold text. As a huge animal lover this is always something I don't like about Call of Duty.

 

They put it in the game because it's a real-world military tactic. Indeed, the team that got Bin Laden had a dog with them.

Not sure what to think about it to be honest.

 

Feral dogs, astronauts, and ducking over cartwheeling helicopter fuselages? I know COD has always been about cinematic setpieces, but I'd say that COD has finally jumped the shark, but that'd be ironic because there is literally a giant shark in the trailer.

I might get this on PS4 instead of PC. Cod on PC is kind of dead already lol, rather play BF4 if I'm on my laptop.

 

Last time I checked, there where like 30K people online on BO II, on PC. BO 1 is kinda dead though (~2K online) but still playable.

 

try and guess the number of players currently on Black Ops II and MW3 on PS3, you're in for a treat. I totally understand why justdoingme would do that, however the installation base for PS4 wont be that big at launch and the graphics is confirmed to be best on PC.

Momentum is conserved, not kinetic energy, so he could blast away and only be pushed back a little. The same reason why firing a pistol doesn't blow off your own hand, but it can put a bullet through somebody. If he has a fancy muzzle break, that would go a long way too.

Livestreamed a bit of the singleplayer campaign and so far im loving it compared to the letdown that was the story in BF4. Graphically it ain't too bad either.

campaign downloaded in about an hour but multi is taking forever. 4 hours and only on 60% but i am using wifi so slower than ethernet.

hope to see a few more positive posts this year compared to last years blops2

 

Most rediculous download ever 7.5GB for SP not too bad but 20.9GB for MP I have no idea why/how its so much larger than SP but thats almost 30GB for this game.

Gave me some error when I put my key in this morning, both downloads were suspended and would not start. Restarted Steam and the SP started to download but not the MP.

Been about 30 minutes and SP is finishing up and I just tried to start MP and it gave me an error again. I'll see if it starts up when SP is done downloading maybe it has some requirements for SP to be done first as it shares some of the files.

Edit: As I was typing SP just finished and MP is starting. Moving pretty quick.

I'll try to be on tonight after work, live stream some alien killing with Deagle.

 

Timing this just had to restart Steam again to get MP to install.
10MB/s right now it says 8% done and I just started it.... Cant be right.

And also it says only 3.5GB now on the install.

Hmm 3.5GB finished fast and I tried to start the game as there were no more downloads. Just a black screen but I am remoting in from work so maybe its working... I just hope I do not have to d/l again when I get home. I have no idea how it skipped downloading the 20+GB as far as I can tell.
