Call of Duty: Ghosts (BY INFINITY WARD)

YES!! Finally we are getting our nice COD back, by Infinity Ward, for new generation consoles = NEW ENGINE!! Yihaaa!! Good story meets good graphics again (since COD:MW in a fps), coming 5th of November!!

I don't hold my breath for unreleased games anymore. If it comes out and it's good, then fantastic. If it isn't... well meow. Either way I already own it so I'm not going to argue =P

Why are you excited about Infinity Ward? The company doesn't exist. Who cares if Activision chose to keep the name to keep on the charade. Everyone knows Infinity Ward is dead, in the grave. The crew behind the best COD games and the architects of the engine are at Respawn.

I have no faith the next COD game will have any revolution in graphics, doesn't matter if new consoles coming. Still going to suck graphically. They aim for the lowest denominator, always have. With the new consoles they are still going to go for whatever gives them minimum 60 FPS.

And since Infinity Ward left Activision and went to EA, it's Treyarch COD games that have been good. The fake IW charade has produced crud.

 

Worst teaser ever. Ridiculous.

 

Not to mention that the story line will probably be pretty much the exact same, boring formula that's been around since MW2 or so. And gameplay will probably be more or less the same as in MW2, MW3, Black Ops, etc...

They'd have to add *a lot* of genuinely new content in that game if I'm going to even consider dropping $60 for Call of Duty, especially since MW3 is "good enough" for me right now and the last few releases have been basically the same damn thing.

 

Looks like they've been migrating back and forth quite a lot. If memory serves me right, Infinity Ward, which made the first Call Of Duty, was made up with people out of "2025" studio (2025 made Medal Of Honour Allied Assault). That's why COD1 was very good .

 

Half of their employees are still remaining with Infinity Ward.. I think they have the vision that Infinity Ward initially set for COD:MW and will make another good shooter this time around too. Also I believe a restructuring of the team (keeping some of the core elements) is a good thing knowing they published basically 2 games with the same core elements to go for easy bucks (I liked MW2 and MW3 was ok anyway).

 

Treyarch COD games are terrible. Black Ops and Black Ops 2 are stiff railshooter-esque garbage. I'm not saying Ghosts will be good, but Treyarch sucks just as bad, if not worse, than the titles released under the IW name.

 

Well... pretty much every FPS is a railshooter these days.

Why not just build a modern VR Cop remake? Would be more fun.
