    Hi!
I'll be getting my 1st notebook and I'm looking at the Dell Inspiron 6000. These are the specs:
    Intel® Centrino™ Mobile Technology with Intel® Pentium® M Processor 750 (1.86 GHz, 2MB Cache, 533MHz FSB)
    Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition

    512MB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz

    100GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive

    Graphic Card
    ATI Mobility™ Radeon™ X300 64MB HyperMemory™*

The only gaming I'll be doing is World of Warcraft. Is it playable, with at least medium settings?

    Appreciate any help!
    Thanks!

Should be. World of Warcraft can be remarkably undemanding on graphics hardware.

I don't think you'll have any problem. WoW is an easy game to handle.

    Have fun!

    BF2 requires a 128MB card...but you'll scrape by with a 64MB. It will play BF2 but at low settings...

FEAR will not be pretty or run well at all.

FWIW, everything I've ever seen on WoW performance has strongly encouraged 1 GB of RAM.

As far as the video card, it's my understanding that "Hypermemory" uses system memory ... which would also make me want more than 512 MB.

Anyway, I'd be strongly tempted to get the 1 GB of RAM and that 128MB version of the X300 if I was going to get a Dell Inspiron 6000 to play WoW ... especially if thinking of possibly 40-man Raids into Molten Core or PVP ...
