How can I play games across two screens? I have an Asus G1S with Vista Premium; the resolution stands at 1650x1050. I also have a CRT monitor with a resolution of 1024x768. I have connected the CRT monitor to my laptop and configured the screens so that the external monitor is the extension of my desktop. However, every time I begin a game in fullscreen mode it only fills up one screen. How do I play it across two?

I don't think you can...
-
yes, in windowed mode. I did it on desktop a few years back on Geforce 6800. It was Far Cry, I stretched it out on 2 20" monitors, for the total 3200x1200 res
it was pretty awesome. Basically, it depends on ur hardware and the game.

Unless you have two identical monitors with really really slim edges it's going to look retarded.

Far cry supports a resolution of 3200x1200? That's an insane aspect ratio, the horizontal view would be absolutely insane, like panoramic or something.
I would think most games are restricted by the aspect ratio supported by the actual game - for example widescreen games and non-widescreen games. -

that would be the best place to find out. -
Ok, so the game itself has to support it aswell. I have seen many videos on youtube for games such as DiRT being played across three 20" screens.

Regardless of the resolution supported you can always stretch it across in windowed mode, as posted above (for most games at least).

I have Halo 2, CofH, Halo, DiRT, Lost Planet, and Oblivion. I have seen several videos on youtube with multiple screens.
Here's one on DiRT: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5cuIPBsWRvA
I will try the window mode but many games don't let me enlarge the window.
