I have a dv9500t with the following specs:

2.2 Ghz Intel Core Two Duo Processor
    2 Gigs of RAM
2x120 GB Hard Drives at 7200 RPM
    512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS

How well will I be able to run games like The Orange Box, Crysis, Call of Duty 4 and others of that sort.

I do not want to run the games on the highest quality but I want them to look decent.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Also, what are the pros and cons of buying games off of Steam versus buying them in a electronics retailer or ordering a hard copy?

    Thanks for the help.

What is the big deal with Crysis, why is it so taxing on processors/graphics cards? I do not know much about it but know that it is reviewed well? What is the gameplay like?

    Thanks!

    Two things:

    1. It has the best graphics today...so it has the most hunger for graphical power too
    2. Its coded like..!%/!, and not optimized.
