    Hey there!

While I'm waiting for a new laptop to arrive, just want to advise if I can run the following games on medium/ultra settings: Assassin's Creed 3/4, Tomb Raider, FIFa 14, Skyrim, Hitman Absolution.

    My specs are: i5-4200m, 765m, 6gb ram, 1tb hdd/ssd.

    Cheers!

As HTHingNut has said above, YES!

I brought my son the same laptop (with the i5 4200m CPU) that HTWingnut has linked, and everything runs fine. A few games will struggle at Ultra at 1080p (that will be BF4, Crysis 3 and one or two others), but it runs fine.

The CPU is probably the issue... The GPU is good enough to be honest... if you could get a i7-4700MQ, get that..Its worth the extra $100 to be honest....

on the other hand: at the moment, even the i5 does deliver enough power for the GPU. there are only a handful of games, which do really benefit from a quadcore.

if you can spare the money, I would recommend the i7, too, just to be a little more secure for the future. or invest the 100 bucks into a SSD.

Thanks for your opinions guys :) I can't change it now as I ordered the laptop couple of days ago, so I have to hope that I won't regret i5 too much! That being said, I'm not a hardcore gamer and I will not touch many CPU intensive games like Battlefield, Crysis or Far Cry - as long as titles that I listed up there will run fine (especially Assassin's Creed) and some older games as well, I'll be happy
