Last year, I bought FIFA 14 (as a DVD) from a retail store. Obviously this got registered to my Origin account once I installed it.

    Now I bought FIFA 15 so I don't need FIFA 14 anymore.

I did not install it on my computer but it shows on my Origin account. Now what happens if I sell the game to someone and they try to install it or register it on their Origin account? would they be able to do that or do I have a disc that's good as a paperweight now?

oh what a shame, very nice way from Origin/Steam to ensure people don't re-sell their games and just have em collect dust! :(

This is how they are stopping losing sales of their games to the secondary/used market.

Reselling games isn't a reality on PC as it is on consoles.

Yeah the good old drm free / DVD disc days are long gone now.

So you can't even unregister a game? Doesn't surprise me in the least. Tis why I buy so few games. No time, waste of money unless I really really like it and no resale value

Games you buy on Origin/ Steam / Uplay are not yours. They are loaned for an indefinite period. That's why I nearly do not buy it , and if so , only clearance sales for pennies ;)

Where have you been the last ten or so years? This was a hot debate when steam came on the scene.
