Hi
I recently bought an hp pavilion dv2000t with a couple of upgrades and was wondering if world of warcraft would run on it well? Here it is:
Hp Pavilion Dv2000t:
o Genuine Windows XP Media Center
o Intel Core Duo 1.83ghz
o 14.1inch WXGA Brightview Widescreen
o 128mb NVIDIA(R) Geforce(R) Go 7200
o Hp Imprint finish, microphone, webcam
o 2GB DDR2 SDRAM
o 80GB 5400 rpm
o DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
o Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network w/Bluetooth
o 6 Cell Lithium Battery
o Microsoft Work Suite 2006 with Word
Thanks

it would likely run on that laptop pretty well when soloing but don't expect to turn everything on high and might get a bit choppy when in an area with lots of people

I can run WOW maxed out, with aa off and get between 25-60 fps, usually averaging 35 with the comp in my sig.

Thats pretty much what im getting. Did you turn any settings down? and if you play battle grounds how many fps do you get in those?

alright...new question, Is it true that WoW runs better on windows than on OSX? Still answer my questions up a post.

The vast, vast majority of computer games are optimized to run on Windows so I would assume that they would perform best on there. -
alright thanks... Now i have a new computer that can run good games and that i can do all of my work on... thanks guys.

WoW will generally run the same on a mac as on a PC with similar vid card, ram, and processor.
Only issue is in using ventrillo. There has to be some special mod or something on the server side so macs version of ventrillo can work. -
But that's just me picking nitsIt's against Apple's EULA to install OSX on a machine other than a Mac. Illegal, that's not so clear-cut.

Nope, I turned V-SYNC off though, and some settings that I can't tell a difference in if they are on or off, I turn those off to. Other than that everything is maxed ut with af at like4.

Is it possible to force WoW to use OpenGL rendering in Windows? Perhaps you could compare performance between using the two systems.
