My specs are
Intel C2D T5470 1.6ghz
2039mb DDR2 RAM
Intel X3100 with 128mb RAM stolen
Yeah i know its a crappy GPU and WiC is a resource monster, but if it runs nicely on Low and i can get into the action, the ill be happy

MAYBE on low, with a really low res.
Not sure though. Might not be playable at all. Do you even own the game? -
Doubtful. It can get laggy on my 8600 at medium sometimes.
-
Yep i do, but its a long 8gb install and ive only got around 10gb left. Also the demo is not a good indicator of performance

Well, you can use the built in frames tester it has and adjust it accordingly.
-
Someone recently did a benchmark for WiC (it has one built-in) with all the settings turned down and it got 12 fps avg!
see this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=173312 -
Oh man, sucks that my desktop is down = (
-
Well the x3100 is not a gaming chip anyway...
-
I play it online at 1024x768 very low settings. I don't zoom in so the only slow downs I see is when I nuke gets dropped.
-
^^ Sounds interesting, but is it playable at Low, what kind of framerates do you get?
-
-
Yeah WIC full version runs on XP...the latest drivers have made it possible...I get arnd 10 FPS avg which drps to 7-8 in intense battle
-
Which drivers are those?
-
Those are Driver Version:6.14.10.4924...release date 15 Feb
-
X3100 is a good chip for moderate gamers, i play HL2 with most details on high with good FPS

Actually, for RTS games 10-15 is totally playable. Unlike FPS where anything under 24 is just unacceptable

Really? Not with my computer. It looks fine at 15 FPS
-
What game? It "looks" fine? sure when standing still. Fact is, when you are averaging 15fps in just about any game, including modern rts, it will stutter whenever you move the screen or action occurs.

Then I bought an ATI X1950 GT when it was on sale for $130.00 bucks. Max settings in any game, 1280 * 1024 + 8 * AF. Now WIC is a CPU intensive game though.... So, I'd say no, sorry.
Do yourself a favor and order this card: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=22578&vpn=100199&manufacture=SAPPHIRE -
It's a laptop... You had an ATI Radeon X1300 which is an okay card
Can X3100 play WiC smoothly on LOW?
