    Can gaming on laptops cause damage?

    Do you think that the increased operating temperature whilst playing games on a laptop can cause damage over a period of time?

    it should happen if you buy a good laptop brand like TOSHIBA or HP... if you go for something like ACER, then, no guarantees

    If it's overheating, yes. I hve seen a good few examples of HDDs and Optical drives being cooked by a consistently overheating cpu. If it's within reasonable temperatures for a mobile machine (cpu not over 70 degrees C on load) then no everything should be fine.
