From the signature u can notice my laptop config. I wanna connect it with a full HD monitor. Now question is whether nvidia geeforce 8400m gs supports 1920*1080? If yes then which version of driver will do that? And another point is i dont have HDMI port but have s-video and VGA output. Which will be better?

well VGA would be better.. S-Video is too old... you should get full hd res with VGA but sadly it won't be as good as it would be with HDMI... Anyways what laptop do u have?

8600m gt in insp 1520 and x1400 in insp 1505 (x1400 was probably made in 2005) both support 1920x1080 over vga

VGA will be fine, and just as good as hdmi. Use VGA. It will work.

S-Video only supports up to 1024x768 @30Hz interpolated. Most text will be unreadable over S-Video.
VGA can support full 1920x1080 @60Hz, but some monitors have compatability issues with VGA and will only allow up to 1366x768 or something lower than 1920x1080. VGA isn't nearly as good as HDMI or DVI btw. If you have DVI, use that over all else. -
1920x1080 will transmit just fine, but the 8400M GS will lag like crap playing pretty much any game at that resolution.

thanks to all. if it lags playing games then i have to stick to watching movies.
Can i connect my laptop with a full HD monitor.
