    Hi my friend has a 7950gt card which he softmodded into a quadron fx something. i was wondering if i could softmod my 9600m gt card?

    No you cannot. With the recent Nvidia cards, the hardware OpenGL features are all disabled unfortunately. Those cannot simply be enabled by a softmod. See the Professional GPU guide (<- not that link) in my sig below for more details.

    after the Geforce 6 and 7 series, the softmod method does not work.
