Can My laptop run Crysis 2?

    CPU: i5 480m 2.66GHz
GPU: ATI Mobility HD 5650 1GB dedicated
    RAM: 4GB DDR3
    Display (resolution): 1366x768

When I installed Crysis 2 on the first day, it ran beautifully on 'GAMER' settings on resolution of 1366x768. Now the next day, there is lag on those exact same settings. Is something wrong?

Are you on a different level now? The more it has to redner the worse the lag.

I tried multiple levels, and the lag persisted. It was working just fine a day ago...

it's a mid ranged graphic card, so dont max out the settings, put them on medium

Maybe check if PowerPlay is enabled and if so, disable it? Your GPU may be running at non 3D clocks.

its true since the max performance will be at the "performance" battery setting!

    A few suggestions:
    - set the game to the lowest settings
    - disable Catalyst AI
    - make sure your drivers are updated
    - make sure that the laptop isn't overheating

I've noticed when you make certain adjustments in game that supposedly "don't require a reboot" they in fact do. You may have changed settings and upped things and thought it was fine when in fact it didn't occur until next reboot.
