Im at college, and my room mates nor I have any gaming consoles at school. I have never been into computer games, but i am starting to get interested. I bought a lenovo thinkpad R61 back in July for school, and it came with a dedicated graphics card. My laptop has a NVIDIA Quadro NVS140M graphics card, and i am wondering if that card will allow me to play fallout 3 without any issues?

At low settings.

So does that mean the graphics wouldn't be as clear/crisp, and would it cause the game to run slower than it should?

My computer also has a core 2 duo 2.5ghz processor, and 3gb of ram. Do those things have any affect on gaming performance?
-
no need to be so harsh lol.
YEah that gpu isnt too good. Go for a p7811 fx if you can find one if you want to play these kind of games. -
How would i change the graphics card? Im sorry for such newb questions.

BenLeonheart walk in see this wat do?
If its soldered into the motherboard = you're out of luck.
If its not, you can buy, lets say, an 8600mGT off ebay..
And if you dont have the laptop yet?
Buy one made to game -
if you only knew how many times ive read a "can i upgrade my video card in my laptop" post on this forum in the last year even though there's thousands and thousands of posts you could google up or find on this very forum through search that would answer your question -
Wooooah so much hostility...
natsfan - The NVS140M is about on par with an 8400M GS for performance. The 8600M GT is about double that. My girlfriend is playing Fallout 3 on her Inspiron 1520 w/ 8600M GT on the lowest settings. Anything higher and it starts to become unplayable. You will be able to play Fallout, but as Lithus said, at low settings.. and even then it may be painful. -
