My laptop specifications are in the description. I'm thinking about buying Sims 4 but I don't want to blow $60 if my computer can't do it very well.

I'm not really concerned about playing it on max graphics, and my screen resolution is only 1366x768. Fairly low graphics on my resolution with 40+ fps would be ideal.

Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks !

Oops - didn't quite specify my video card. It's a 6770M, not just a 6770, if that makes any difference. But you probably already knew that. I'm not too sure how the nomenclature works with 6770m. Is my video card generally comparable to something like 7770m or 8770m?

    there's a 8770M? O_O

Anyway, you could use the notebookcheck lists to see, but your card should not be weaker than a HD4600 which WAS tested, so you could play on medium or so. At the least, low will work perfectly fine.

Your 6770M is one of the vintage AMD Terrascale units. 480 cores, VLIW5 , 128 bit RAM width and GDDR5. Anyway, when they benchmarked the Sims 4, 1366x768 resolution with medium settings on a Fermi GT-720M with 64 bit RAM width and GDDR3, they got 55fps. I'm confident your 6770m will easily get 65-70ish maybe FPS at the same settings.
