Excellent find, if it's very accurate, then this needs to either be put in a sticky or stickied.

I played with this thing for a while. It is actually pretty accurate. nice post :)

EDIT: actually i just remembered that it clocks the Core Duo's as P3's which they are based on but it will say that your processor doesnt reach requirements. Do not worry. It will run :)

I guess this would stop the questions about "Can I play this .... on my computer?", but now we'll have something on the lines "..I have a Pentium M/Core duo and it says it's not enough" kind of thing.

i click on the link and i select a game then i click "can you run it" and then it just goes to the page where it gives me the download component info and then nothing happens. i think this is because the first time i tried it a box popped up asking me if i want to trust software from this site and i clicked no instead of yes. how can i fix this? i use firefox by the way. thank you

i tested my desktop which im currently using (still wating for lappie!) and it can run almost all the games there.
    my desktop specs:
    AMD Athlon Xp 1500+ (1.35GHz, Performance @ 1.5GHz)
    512MB DDR RAM (Pc2100)
nVidia GeForce 6200 256MB DDR AGP4X (for some reason this has a 128-bit memory bus)
    80GB 5400RPM HD.
ok, i know my system is old (i bought it 4years ago) but it still runs like a dream.....it use to be when i first bought it....................now im waiting for my new dream to come......................................................

i did the computer check, and it made my FF crash..even though it was still open (and the process was running), i was unable to type normally, the navigation bar was unresponsive, and clicking on tabs didnt work..everything else worked fine though...i had to kill the process, and restart FF for everything to work normally. funny how it is backwards AND bottom of the post is at the top lol...

    pb,out.

I have a couple concerns. It says my computer is running two Pentium III processors and doesn't meet the minimum requirements for a Pentium IV. Is there something I need to set somehow?

It also says I do not have Texture and lighting support. The Intel web sites states that there is support through software. How do I activate it?

    http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/gma950/

I ran the program through IE. It didn't work for me using Firefox but I am running McAffee, Noscripts and Privacy software....

im guessing that you have a duo core titaniummd...if so you are fine they are built off the P3 chip to save heat/power.

I believe yours is a Core Duo, don't worry about that. This is what I meant on my previous post on this thread.

Anyone know how to activate the Texture and lighting or is that what makes an Intel GMA 950 suboptimal for gaming?

personally i find that site very inaccurate. There are some games that i claims i dont meet the requirements for, although im actually playing them on my radeon7000. just to let you know, if you're just shy of the requirements.

The Duo is the fastest processor for notebooks period, and if overclocked, it beats even the Athlon X2's in the desktop. It is reporting the Duo as dual Pentium III's because it doesn't know what it is.

Dual Pentium III's? I never heard of that one... I thought Core Duo was the successor of the great Pentium M but then with dubble cores.

While this site does usually give a good indication of whether or not a game will run, I would always take the results with a grain of salt.
For instance, a few months ago, I tested my desktop to see if it could run Half Life 2, and it said I was just below the recommended level. My desktop is running on Intel Extreme Graphics 2. After purchasing the game, I discovered that, though *technically* I can run it, some parts were just an exercise in futility.
