    Hi

I have what may sound like a stupid question, but as a newcomer to pc gaming i find my self compelled to ask it.

Can games that struggle to run on vista like Star Wars KOTOR/KOTOR 2 or any other games for that matter vista compatable
    or not corrupt your computer?

    Thanks

Running overly intensive games on an old/poorly built computer might cause heating issues, and thereby fry your hardware.

You can cause the computer to refuse to run serious applications, that you may need to use for school or work. Sometimes this can be so severe that even after changing the computer the effects still remains.

But seriously it can have some heat issues but modern computers usually shut down before frying, it can although reduce the life of the components, but the components usually live longer than the time that they can still give you good performance.

I actually agree with you, it won't corrupt or the better word, influence the notebook but instead, your mind. Actually just keep an original ghost of your OS and reload/repair it when something do crashes, whether if it is a game or any adware.

If you do lots of installing/uninstalling then programs leave crap behind on your laptop. This can definitely slow it down. Sometimes games can BSOD if you are unlucky!

Well yes and no. The game itself will not, but the act of installing lots of data onto a HDD can create cross linked sectors and a severely fragmented HDD.
