Ok guys, i've been running 0.89v for over a week now, no problems, Dox 185.85 drivers, temps on load range from 75 to 85 degrees.

just now, while playing Fallout 3, quite a few white boxes and shapes appeared, artifacts.... can this be due to me undervolting?

Also, what driver is recommended for best performace etc, for 9600M GT?

i might try latest nvidia 186.81 drivers, i'm not sure if the Dox 185.85 are the trouble.

Undervolting just gives the GPU less voltage to run, it won't hurt your GPU in any case. If your 9600M gt runs stable with lowered voltage, there is no reason to keep your card running at stock voltages.

Regarding your problem in fallout3, did you see other similar things in 3dmark06/furmark test? If you didn't, it is most likely driver issue, i would say. Dox's drivers ain't known for best graphic stability. I had a few graphical glitches with Dox's 185.85 in some games too, switched to the official 186.82, problems gone.
So try the Nvidia drivers first and see if it retains.

Undervolt won't damage the GPU probably.

The problems might be the Driver.
Nvidia website have the latest driver, 186.81 which I found it sucks.
While the current BEST driver(majority tested and say good) from Nvidia is 186.82 or 186.42 which can't be found in Nvidia Website. Yet, thet are legal and official from Nvidia but you need to get it other way.

    Download here,
    186.82 x64, http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/24999-v18682-windows-7vista-64bit-nvidia/
    186.82 x86, http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/24998-v18682-windows-7vista-32bit-nvidia/
    186.42 x64, http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/24928-v18642-windows-7vista-64bit-nvidia/
    186.42 x86, http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/24927-v18642-windows-7vista-32bit-nvidia/

If these Drivers(186.82 and 186.42) didn't work well for you, then, try the 186.81 from Nvidia website.
I am using 186.82 now, it is the BEST driver for me currently. I have high benchmark and higher FPS in real games with it.

Ok just tried 186.82 and performance was decreased considerably, in most games.

Don't worry. Some people do have performance boost with 186.81.
Take note that not all drivers are good and perfect for each machines.
Yours seems to have better performance with 186.81. So, no doubt, use it!
