So I've been trying to install the new NVIDIA drivers with no luck. I have an 8400m GS running on a 32-bit version of Windows Vista. I have also uninstalled the pre-existing driver from my computer. Every time I double click on the installation file, I keep getting an error message that either says the hardware wasn't found or that the drivers I'm trying to install is not the correct version for the computer that I own. I've double checked and everything matches up.
I running:
Dell Inspiron 1420
NVIDIA 8400m GS
Windows Ultimate 32-bit
T7500 Duo Core (2.2 GHz)
Any help would be so much appreciated.

AHHHH! Because that driver is meant for desktops. Please read the sticky at the top which is how to upgrade video drivers. If you still don't understand then ask.
