Just for fun, try ALT+ENTER. I'm guessing this won't work, but try it.

From what I'm reading all over the web, the game doesn't natively support widescreen. Is your friend's laptop making the game look all stretched out? There is a setting in the Nvidia control panel for scaling, try telling it to scale full screen. If this doesn't work, try using a program called 'Universal Widescreen Patcher'. NFS Most Wanted is not specifically mentioned, but this program has worked for me in numerous games to include Tiger Woods 2008 and Sim City, neither of which natively work in widescreen.

I love Most Wanted but like someone said... It doesn't support widescreen. I'd recommend NFS: Undercover if you want a similar racer (albeit not quite as good as MW)
