    Hi everyone!

I installed a new driver, and I wanted to see the improvements. But, when installing 3DMark 11 and Vantage, I get these errors :

    In 3DMark 11

    And in Vantage

Any ideas how to fix it  ? I want to test the new 8.84.3 driver ( aka 11.4 )...

    Thanks!

Redownload installer, delete the old vantage and 11 folder and try again.

All of them are mentioning corruption ._. Aren't there any mirrors that allows you to download them from? Mine installed just fine

Phistachio try another mirror mate, because if even that fails, then probably the problem is your RAM, because CRC errors or corrupt downloads are usually a matter of system RAM...or a corrupted HDD. WHICH I REALLY HOPE is neither of the two for your sane sake.

Uh oh... Would a windows RAM test say if my RAM is OK? Is there a program to check my HDD's health?

HDTune's sort of able to tell your HDD's health ._.

Other than that, does redownloading from a mirror site works? I got mine from the guru thingy site

Tried doing the memory test, and it asked me for the windows repair disks, although it booted fine...

DAMN IT, gotta send the laptop AGAIN. 3 times in a row. I think I will end up selling and getting a new one. Seriously...

    This was the error :

The title - "Windows boot manager"

The text - "The windows boot failed. The cause might be a recent alter to the hardware or software. To correct your problem : 1. Put the windows install disk and restart the computer; 2. Select the language settings and press next; 3. Click on Repair computer.
If you don't have the disk, contact your system admin or the salesman to get support.

    File : \boot\mr test.exe
    State : 0xc000000e
Info : It was not possible to load the selected entry because the app is damaged or corrupted"

If I press enter, it boots normally...

Phistachio, did you delete that 100MB hidden partition that comes with Windows 7?

    What hidden partition  ?

I didn't have any... Anyways, the only things I deleted were inside Program Files (x86). That was the only folder I touched.

WOW!!! Got P1239 in 3DMark 11, a 29 point increase over the previous drivers!!!

Also, something I noticed : the lower your CPU score, the higher your final score...?

    WOW, AMAZING...

Now I can't even activate system restore... I'm done. I will *try* to get a new laptop. 3 times RMA'd is NOT normal for a laptop. Worst thing is, the least they will do is they will replace with the same one, that might have same defects...

The error was something related to a syntax error or something. Even if I activate the system restore, it does not let me to restore. Wow...

    ASUS, I'M DISAPOINT

If I needed to RMA three times, I would already call for a replacement by now. Three repairs is usually the benchmark for a replacement.

The problem is, that to replace, they need to be unable to fix the problem... Which will be probably not the case...

Oh well, I might get lucky and get a G73 as a reward...

Or the problems keep reappearing after getting it repaired so many times like in my case with my Elitebook.

The same model in the lineup, but a new unit fresh from the production line in China, if that is what you mean.

Download MemTest86+ and run the program (boots off CD/DVD) overnight and see if it finds any errors. I've had weird errors caused by bad RAM. Works once, then not the next time.
