    Dell XPS M1530
    8600M GT 256mb ddr3 i think.
    177.98 with .INF
    Vista Ultimate SP1

When i first overclocked with Rivatuner it worked great until i rebooted, i can live with that but when i move the sliders now and click apply they reset immediately.

The overclock i did was 600/900 and it didn't even go over 70c after gaming for 3hrs.

Please help as my games are running like crap now with the higher settings i was using due to the overclock

That used to happen to me, with my 8600. Try reinstalling the driver.

That usually happens when the driver isn't overclockable, try 174.74, or just reinstalling whatever worked before.

reinstalling the graphics driver... seems to work again, letting me set the clock until i shutdown :) (sleep will do for now)

classic77, i've tried that driver and a few more avoiding the 160s, even tried as far back as the 101.14 driver.

EDIT: i found the problem was Nvidia Powermizer... changed some settings in registry :D
