    Hi guys!
I recently bought a GT72 with the 980m and i decided to do an overclock.
I tried with nvidiainspector and the msi afterburner and every time i move the slider and click ''apply '' i just go back and nothing happens!
And i dont know how much vram my card have! Some software say that i have 4Gb and some 8Gb. My gt72 is the 211 sku, But i think it has an IPS display and the 4720HQ

    Thanks

Over-clocking is disabled in the 347.XX branch of drivers. Revert to 344.75 or earlier to overclock.

I really hope it is a bug and that overclocking won't be permanently disabled. If it's been done purposely then that creates the awful scenario of having to choose between having up-to-date drivers or overclocking - and as time goes on we will all eventually be forced to update to the latest drivers if we want to play the upcoming games of 2015 and have the latest GPU features, like MFAA.

Stuff like this has happened before. For example, old drivers caused the GTX 880M to throttle unreasonably. Probably the same reason to avoid damage due to driver crashes and bad overclocks.

I have the GT72 as well and haven't had the need to OC, but I bought the GT72 in part because the cooling was exceptional for OCing. I'm not going to be very happy if I can't, but I expect this to be temporary, because it has been temporary before. I'll be mad if I spent an extra $400 over a NP8652 for little to no reason.

It would be nice if there was a way to enable OCing with a registry tweak or something.

...While we're at it, one for DSR always being an option would be nice too because there are soooo many older games I'd love to use it on.

Just use 344.xx for now. If you want to OC that is.

Is there a reason why I'm unable to OC my card at all? I had my fan cranked up a lot so the card was nice and cool when I increased the speed just now, but it still ended up killing my computer. Everything else on the GPU is all at stock speeds and whatnot. achat housse samsung galaxy s6 coque samsung galaxy s6 filp
