    Cannot Install Nvidia 3xx driver for GF 9600M GT

    I would like to ask you guys I been trying to install couple driver versions on my Sony vaio AW and I just can't install driver .. Anybody knows why?
    I tried 301 302 305 306 and installer said installation cannot continue ..
    On 305.68 it detected compatible driver, it started installing driver but after few seconds install stopped and failed ..
    Anybody knows idea ?

    tbh for older 9*** cards like yours its almost pointless updating once youve found a stable driver.
    where did you find 305.68 as its not on nvidia site (heres the last 10-15) > NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Advanced Search

    is it a modded inf you are using.

    you could still try the manual install in safe mode following walkthrough in my sig below.

    no i tried modded and i got blue screen after few mins .. (win7)
    and why that your link offering me latest driver which does not work?

    as i said before with older cards, if they work then dont try and fix them with updates.

    what was the last driver that worked perfectly for you? try that one again and see if it still works. if it doesnt like the latest one you tried then you know its something to do with your computer thats conflicting

    Yeah i was doing same as in that thread ..
    Latest modded it detects my gpu and while installing driver it all sudden stops saying installation failed.. thing is win 8 doesnt show that popup window warning: if i want install this driver anyway.. dunno why..

    I know .. i have now 18x something like that..
    But i want set 60 hz i cant .. then i want set. fkin full scalling i cant..
    Driving me nuts this version
    And weird thing is I have same laptop but with GF 9300 GS and latest drivers .o problem working all nice.. but this 9600 GT doing problems dunno why..
