So I just got a new laptop, and I wont be getting any new games for a couple more weeks so ive been playing some of my old games to pass the time and ive been getting back into KotOR lately and right when ive gotten back to the good parts my game crashes, no problem I say I know its not very compatible with vista, i download the updates hoping they might fix the problem then I reboot the game but this time it wont even let me play it i just get the following message:

Conflict with disk emulation software see securum.com/emulations for more details.

I visited the sight but i still have no idea whats wrong... Could anyone help cuz i was just starting to get addicted and now ive been cut off.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys!
I managed to get it to run from advice to set it so i run it as an administrator. I somehow lost all my saved games in the process but atleast i can play it now.
