Any mention of that MLAA everyone's talking about? I was looking at the MLAA thread and I'm thinking about trying out the patch.

10.10 broke my envy14's brightness buttons (they worked on the intel gpu still)
wonder how 10.11 will go -

awww crap.
10.11 breaks the fn+f2/fn+f3 brightness buttons also.
what the hell amd and/or hp -
@forge: no MLAA or 68xx support.
Be advised that the 10.10e hotfix pack is actually newer than 10.11, though the hotfix packs aren't really aimed at notebooks.
Skipping this again, 10.8 working just fine here. -
Yeah definitely skipping... I'm on 10.10. Why bother? Don't play those games and the rest applies to other cards lol
-
I'm gonna stick with 10.10e for now. The only problem I have is the 2nd GPU utilization issue with BFBC2 that only a handful of other people are experiencing that has persisted since 10.6 was released. ATI just pretends it's not happening. Ive read about it on laptop and desktop systems with both 4xxx and 5xxx crossfire. If i post anything about it on teh ATI forum, most post gets deleted.
-
Gave me the same mouse lag/stuttering as 10.10 while playing Company of Heroes. Going back to 10.5.
-
What's the difference between 10.10 and 10.10e? And can 10.10e be used on laptops? (I think it's the desktop only version with the mlaa hotfix, yeah?)
-
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
gonna just drop back to 10.8 since it was working fine. -
saturnotaku Notebook Nobel Laureate
Excellent to see that they still haven't fixed the crash at startup issue for many OpenGL games.
-
-
CrossFire no longer becomes disabled in Battlefield Bad Company 2 after performing a task switch -
Hmm 10.10e doing fine right now with MLAA option, will upgrade if 10.11 is hacked to have it also.
-
that's lousy....... i was expecting MLAA sooner or later.. well i'll wait for 11.0... it should own in DX11
-
I'm doing fine on 10.10 and the release notes don't seem that great... I think I'll skip this one also.
-
-
-
Or you could just press the Win logo button and X key simultaneously to bring up portable computer control panel.. then you can also change screen brightness there. bye -
Are the 10.11 drivers out for the 6870 desktop cards? All I still see are the 10.10 drivers.
-
@Rodknee Nope. From AMD website:
-
Thanks downloads, any word on when they'll release them?
-
-
Where? I went to their website today and they only had the 10.10 drivers.
-
-
So imaged back to install with 10.7. So something is up with the drivers from 10.10. -
no harm done updating lol.. it makes you feel better.. I'm happy with 10.11.. anyways anyone seen temp drop? Big one i mean.. someone on G73 had temps drop from 83C in 10.10 in NFS HP2 to 70C in 10.11

ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver
Not sure why you are looking at previous drivers. -
King of Interns Simply a laptop enthusiast
Anybody report improvements over 10.10?
I find 10.10 the best I have ever tried far better than 10.6 or 10.8 that I had previously so am reluctant to upgrade just yet. -
There's a changelog in the first page
-
Hmmmm, I cannot download the file and the direct link is "file not found"
?
-
I should have read that there ARE NO 10.11 drivers available for the 6xxx series GPU's. I'll need to wait for 10.12 instead. -
Anyone with desktop should be using the 10.10 hotfixes. -
Why aren't many of you guys downloading this? These drivers DROP temperatures.
-
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
O rly.
Hmm. I guess I'll give them a try and replace my 10.8. Hopefully the newer WHQL drivers will have built-in MLAA. Want to take that out for a test.
Unless, of course, I should try the hotfixed 10.10 instead. -
So should I download 10.11 or 10.11e?
-
I, of course, can't update my driver to the generic one, but even when HP releases their version, I'm sticking with 10.8. I'm waiting for native MLAA.

Sure, it might be a combination of my room being 66F, my mods, and my NC2000 cooler, but I just caught my 5870 idling in the 35C range. (It's been on doing light browsing for about two hours). -
MagusDraco Biiiiiiirrrrdmaaaaaaan
I missed the ability to increase/decrease brightness with the hotkeys.
so, yeah. went back to 10.8 -
How would you go about installing this? Would you uninstall 10.10 then install these?
-
You should download Driver Cleaner. Then uninstall your graphics driver regularly.
Then reboot into safe mode and run Driver Cleaner on your ATI folder.
Then reboot into windows and install the drivers. -
control panel -> programs and features -> uninstall all ati software.
after that it told me to restart, once it restarted, I installed the new drivers then restarted again.
I've always done it that way, and have no issue's to report!
I installed the 10.11 drives with Catalyst APP Technology -
