yeah this is an envy 14 specific issue.
it cropped up in 10.10 and since the 14 isn't actually supported well...
I dunno if it's gonna go away.
it apparently has happened to some other switchable computers and resetting stuff in the ccc to defaults has fixed it for 'em.
I went around doing that in every possible place I could find and it didn't fix things so oh well.
10.8's running fine for me anyway. I may just update to 10.12 anyway if they're really good. not like I lower brightness on this thing while it's plugged in all that often.

That must be new. Good to know, thanks.

Thx for the modded driver, gonna try them on my EB.
-
I installed 10.11 over my Sony Vaio's 10.10 and my Fn Keys work fine. Just a note for other Vaio users.

weird.. shades of the brightness not working on laptops with NVIDIA's 195.62 drivers+... luckily my hp nver had that issue
-
Also an hp tm2 issue. Brightness broken from 10.10 version, but works when switched to intel graphics. Using 10.7 now.
Seems this also has affected some asus and dell machines. -
Is there maybe an update from HP for whatever they call their hotkey/notebook drivers? Dell has quickset, ASUS has ATK, etc. I'm sure an update from HP would fix it.
-
i don't think hp has a ATK or stuff like that... as far as i know from my Dv5t.
