Catalyst 6.5 beta

While waiting for the official version, someone might find this beta useful. I will wait for the official version, but if someone tries it, please report back if it works normally with Ati tray tools- meaning that you can overclock, apply the profile and start the game without the speeds reset.

Thanks for the link. I'm also going to wait for the official ones; I'd like to read the release notes.

I'm really hoping that Catalyst 6.4 and up isn't going to be the end of overclocking my card. As far as I'm concerned, those drivers were a disaster.

True. Not stable, not faster. Only problems for me (read: ATT problems, NHC OC worked OK). But again - I guess we are the OC kind of people. For many other people it is just OK. I guess 6.3 were the the best so far, followed by 5.13. Maybe I am wrong.

Nope, I don't think you are. I liked the 5.9's a lot as well.

The 6.4s were . . not stable on my system either. I had the mobility ones installed first, they weren't so good, impossible to overclock. Modded the desktop drivers and I could overclock, but that was unstable even moreso and crashed after four days. Been on the 6.3's for about a month now, beautiful.

How come the 6.5 beta is out while Omega is still with 6.3... I am still waiting for 6.4 Omega's.

Omega is currently playing Oblivion. That is why. I'm not joking - it says on his website.

Well the official ATi is also way behind the schedule. I expect 6.6 already!
