Trsut me to do all the screwing up :/
Guys,i trieed to update my ATI Catalyst Control Centre to the latest version 11.6,so as suggested,i downloaded the latest driver, uninsatlled the old driver and installed the new version but as it turned out i did not finish uninstalling,i realised that and clicked on finish to uninstall ! So both the new driver and the old driver disappeared :/ Now if i right click on desktop am no longer able to see the catalyst control centre nor am i able to find it in the control panel !
I tried to download it again and installed, but it only allowed me to either modify or repair my application files or something and i still havent installed it :/
    Help please !

Try uninstalling again, in the control panel click on program and features and there might be Catalyst Install Manager there (or ATI install manager, can't remember).

If that doesn't work, try using DriverSweeper in Safe Mode.

If that doesn't work, try using system restore to a date that it worked.

You can use ATI crap cleaner as an alternative to driver sweeper. If you use DS, make sure to use version 2.9.0 or above (if there is a newer one).

This is for windows 7 64-bit:

    ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver

If you are on a 32-bit version of windows 7, you'll have to download the 32-bit version.

Download that small program and it will download the latest version of the drivers and CCC for you.

Lol, give me some time to answer hehe. What version are you currently on? Personally, if i am on the same yearly version, i uninstall reboot and install the newer ones. That's how i went from 11.5 to 11.6 If you are on an older version like 10.x, i would uninstall, run ATI crap cleaner or driver sweeper in safe mode, reboot then install 11.6.

EDIT: In case you didn't know, 11.6 stands for 2011/06.

ATI crap cleaner and driver sweeper are utilities you can use to remove the leftover registry keys and other bits from uninstalling the drivers. In most cases, you don't have to do this. If something goes wrong with your installation, it's something to fall back to.
