Champions vs WoW

So, Champions Online just came out apparently. Anyone who played Champions Online know how good of a game it is? I'm interested in the character customization but I'm not sure if it is worth playing over WoW.

 

First, the qualifier: I played WoW for 2.5 years until I got bored with it pre-Lich King expansion.

If you are interested in character customization then Champions Online is definitely for you. The character creation process is quite lengthy and deep although, me not really being a comic book superhero type person or ever played the pen & paper version of Champions or CoH/CoV, I have no idea of what all the options mean until I play the game. The first thing I noticed when entering the game world, and much to Cryptic's credit, is there is not one character that remotely looks like another. Everyone seems to be unique in look and power combinations. I really like that and it sets CO apart from the cookie cutter and same gear look of other MMOs, including WoW.

As far as the rest of the game goes only time will tell. I'm still experimenting with character setups in the training areas. From what I've read on the official forums and see in game chat I think CO has a good future ahead.

anywho, i wanna try the game out. ill end up getting it in a month or two probably, after i get a new job.
