Anybody know how to do this?

I have a wired and a wireless 360 controller for my PC and today I was playing some games with my son. I wanted to use the wireless one since it was already setup for player 1 controls in my games, but when adding the wired controller it got put in player 2 spot.

So its a major pain to remap controls for games every time I want to add the 2nd controller, and just need to know how to keep the wireless one as the main priority gamepad.

I had the same issue and never found a resolution. I tend to think the wired takes precedence. I had a wired set up on my HDX, then started playing games on my TV instead. Since it was 52inch, I was farther away from the whole set-up and got a wireless controller. Then my brother and I played a game one day, and voila, same problem you are having. It was a very rare occurrence that two people played on my rig, so I kind of gave up on finding a fix.

Probably a useless post...just thought I would share my assumption. :)

I have 2 wireless xbox controllers. I think I alter the order in which I plug them both in. Usually the 1st one plugged in and detected is 1 player for me.
