I know his may sound like a daft question to some of you, but i am playing football manager 2007 and when i start the application, it automatically changes from 1200x800 to 1024x768. This is quite annoying, as it makes the picture look a little stretched. I know that you can right click on the .exe and go to properties an change it to 640x480 or something, but i would like to change it 1200x800.
Could some kind soul tell me how to do this?
    Thanks
    JT

Change in .exe? I'm not sure about that, but I do recall some games you can find some kind of .ini file or some type of notepad related file that you can go in there and change the resolution of the games to support widescreens. Try http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/ (wide screen gaming forum) they might help you even more.

...you should be able to change resolution from INSIDE the game, in your options or whatnot. If not, check the link from above. If that doesn't work, you can set your drivers to scale while preserving the aspect, which makes scaling look nicer, and if that STILL doesn't work, you can set the drivers to just not scale the images, and if that's STILL not right, give up on the game.

and try looking up the game @ tweakguides.com

they have settings and options guide for each game to change resolution and much more.

I have used their guides to fix the resolution for some games already:
    - Battlefield 2
    - Battlefield 2142
    - Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

if you cant change the resolution to your monitors resolution in the game, then theres a good chance it dosnt support widescreen resolutions. Popular games like EA's can usualy be hacked and are covered in places like the widescreen gaming forums, but alas this game isn't so I was unable to pull any more info on its widescreen capabilties.
