I was told recently by a friend that my Asus F3K-A1 could have its video card changed out, which I think is awesome, but I wanted to know if it would accept the ATI Radeon HD 3780 because thats what I would want to put in. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any forums or sites that states whether or not there are compatibility issues or anything. I'd like to find out anything I can before I decide. Many thanks to posters beforehand.

Upgrading a laptop GPU is possible provided it uses the MXM-slot but it happens rarely if ever.
I thought MXM was limited to Nvidia cards. But most laptopmakers use propietary designs, even those that supply Nvidia GPU's. When you pick a notebook I wouldn't count on a possible GPU upgrade when making your choice. -
wouldn't it be cheaper and free of hassle to just buy a notebook that already has a graphics card you want? you'll have hard time trying to find a retailer willing to sell you standalone mobile graphics card not to mention the premium you may have to pay.

Unfortunately at the time the 3800 series wasn't available in premade laptops yet when I bought my current one.

I wouldn't bother with trying to upgrade. Its a pain in the neck. Really. I tried to upgrade my XPS M170 from a Go 6800 Ultra to a 7800 GTX. The new card was extremely expensive and there was a shortage so I'd had to wait an unknown amount of time to get it. That wasn't worth it to me. The 6800 Ultra lasted me a good while anyway. It was only recently I moved back to a desktop as my main system and got an 8800GTX.
