    Hi all,

Is there a way to change your gpu according to whether you're on battery power or connected to a power supply?

As some of you know, the W230ST (My laptop) has pretty short battery life, and I am wondering if you could switch to intel graphics on battery.

    Thanks,
    OCeeD

I'm sorry, but doesn't the W230ST have Optimus? If so it switches automatically, when you aren't using the GTX 765M., and that's regardless of whether you're on battery or on the plug.

So long as no applications call for the nvidia GPU it will stay off. Go to desktop on the nvidia control panel and enable the GPU usage icon to get a visual indication.
