As im still thinking about cheap laptop, but wich can handle some old games like CS 1.6, or Painkiller... i need yall advice

What card will be better? x3100 with dual core proc., ATI x1100 with dual core, or GF Go 7400 but with Celeron M

    Thx for all answers

I didn't understand much of what you were "sayn", but this is my opinion (just joking :))
I would go with the Go 7400 and a Celeron M with a high clock freq. and maybe 1Gig of ram if you have the money. You shouldn't buy the laptop with Vista however, it would be a total waist of performance. What specific laptop is it that your looking at?

I second the advice above, but if that X3100 would have some dedicated memory and the 7400 wouldn't that would swing it to the laptop with the core duo and the X3100. XP or Linux would be your best option with those machine's, unless you're prepared to upgrade your ram to 2Gb for Vista.

I don't know Benq that well, but Toshiba makes really good laptops. Anyway it's not that Benq doesn't support XP (all laptops do by the way) it's just that it seems that you can't buy it WITH XP, wich I think is ludicrous taking into account that its not that powerful. I don't understand polish, if you could find it in english then that would be great!
My oppinion is still: go with the Benq.

heres specs. fr toshiba in english (its hard to find them ;) ) http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe....p/productPage.do?service=EU&PRODUCT_ID=135555

By "they dont have XP support" i meant, xp can be installed on them... but Benq and Toshiba doesnt have official XP drivers for them.

I dont know if its worth to buy Benq... its got that Celeron M, but as i have read, that dual core on Toshiba isnt a 'speed demon'

Is so hard for me to choose. That will be my first laptop, mostly for internet... but playng some older games like CS 1.6, fifa or painkiller would be nice

And nobody tested here that games on x3100, so i dont know how they will work. (i even asked about it but nobody have answerd :( )

I checked out those spec's, the Toshiba comes with 1Gb of ram divided over 2 banks, the 2Gb you mention is the maximum ram it can handle but it doesn't come with that. The Benq is even worse in the ram department, it comes with only 512Mb, but on the bright side it's all in one bank (notebooks usually only have 2 memory banks) so you could just put in another strip of 1Gb.

I also did a check on the minimal system requirements for both games you mention and they will play fine on both machines actually.

Here you can find a list of most if not all graphic cards out there at the moment if you want to compare them yourself, you can also click on most cards to get a little more detailed information:

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html

The Go7400 is only a little faster then the X3100.

That core duo in the Toshiba might not be the fastest cpu in the world, but it is still almost twice as fast as that Pentium M.

Based on above information i have to recommend the Toshiba, it simply is the fastest and most future proof machine because it has a more modern cpu and gpu. It also has better battery life and a a much larger hdd. If you get it with Vista Basic or turn off Aero if it has Home Premium you should be fine with it, and if you still find it to slow you can always put in some extra RAM later on. It's not that expensive and really easy to do, and it will make it fully Vista capable too.

That's misleading, maybe in some basic benchmarks the two are close but in real term gaming the Go7400 will kill the X3100 stone dead in everything.Maybe a 300% performance difference in most games.

True however the Toshiba is better all around, but in terms of best gamer, the Go7400 will make a much bigger impact on what you can play at reasonable levels with that card then the Core will with the X3100.

True in general, but i've seen a lot of these budget notebooks come with a Go7400 with no dedicated v-ram but only shared memory, and that really kills it's performance. In this case there isn't any dedicated video memory mentioned for the 7400 either in the specifications and combined with the pentium m that would mean this notebook will suck in the 3D departement. The Toshiba seems like the safest bet to me on the info at hand.

Could u tell me another thing

Maybe better than that Toshiba is:
Asus with Intel Pentium Dual Core T2330 - 1,6 GHz, 1 or 2 GbRam(there r both avaliable), 120gb hdd, ATI XPRESS X1100...and XP support

Ikno, that that Ati got some lower rates in benchmark tests than x3100, but maybe it will have better preformance than that intel graphics card?
