    1 NV9300GS with 256mb GDDR2.
    2 NV8400GS with 128mb GDDR3.
    3 ATI HD3470 with 256mb GDDR3.
    4 ATI HD2400XT with 256mb GDDR3.
    5 NV8400gs with 256mb GDDR2.

Which of these 5 is the most powerful ?

These GPUs are combined with T8100.

I am wondering if the NV9300 is much more powerful than my 8400GS after reading a couple of German reviews comparing them side by side.

Also, any one tell me how the ATI HD3470 and the HD2400XT compare with the NV9300GS when all of them have the same amount of GDDR3?

I googled it for hours but could not find anything on these ATI cards, there was almost no bench mark for the new ATI HD3470, so any advice appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Probably #3, if not #4. The 8400M GT is closer to the level of these 2 cards.

    GO GO ATI!

They are doing pretty well in the low end market. I'd recommend going by Willie's list.

Thanks for that, I saw a confusing benchmark and that was why I started thinking about replacing my NV8400gs with NV9300GS, but if they perform similarly , there is no reason to go get an NV9300gs.

I think an 8600m gt or better and you will see a distinct performance increase, otherwise it may be a better option to wait (if you can) for the new mid-range 9-series or mid high ati hd series (hd3870 etc). They should be coming to 15" notebooks later this year

thanks WILLY S , but how long should I wait to see any one put the HD3870 into a decent lappy ?

I dont like my hp because its screen really suck ,only wxga ,is ok but 16ms response time is too slow and I want to get a video card with 256mb ram.

Do you think NVIDIA 9500GS( 512mb GDDR2)in ASUS F8 SN is good?

It's a bit over my budget but if it is worth it I can stretch out a bit more and I am obsessed with the ASUS although I dislike its case , not as well built as my hp IMO.

I really wanted to get the XPS M1530 with NV8600gt GDDR3 but it is not available in Thailand , so I've got a HP for a shot time use but I dont really think I will like it.

    thank you for your input.

Yep :) Its the exact same specs as a 8600gt except it runs cooler on a smaller die. Essentially you'll be able to overclock it slightly more than a 8600m gt.. If you're into that kinda thing ;)
