Is there a way to check how much bandwidth is used during a session of online gaming? I only have 11GB left for the next 2 weeks and I need to share it with the rest of my family. Need to check games like Starcraft2 and Lord of the Rings Online

For 2 weeks, if gaming's all you're doing then 2-3GB is more than enough
Pass the remaining 8 to your family.
Unless Blizzard decides to release a huge patch to eat up your data allowance -

There are some programs out there that monitor bandwidth, also many routers have a monitoring service.
The router is good because it can tell you the exact amount and tell you what computer is doing it. -

I downloaded a program called network traffic monitor (think it's written in delphi).

NetMeter is very nice monitor tool, it will display your current connection up n down, but if you go into the TOTALs, you can setup the meter, specially the bandwidth used per month so you can always know how much you have left. You can even get warnings, like if you sustain that consumption you will pass the limit of what you have per month, or when you reach it it will display a message.
One recommendation, open the option by right clicking the icon on your task bar and go into options, click start with windows, so you dont have to remember to start it so you get more accurate reading, also i used the beta not the release as it also monitors wifi and 3g as wired connection (the release cant). Overall its a very nice utility, specially for one that wants to monitor their current dl/ul speed as their consumption.

Theres windows gadgets that do it, but the one I use it network meter
-
Personally? If you have a cap on your bandwidth usage, you need to find another provider.
But that's just me.
-
I have comcast with a cap of 250GB, should I change? -
Agreed with Abula. I use NetMeter
-
Cool, thanks for all the options, I will check them out.

The chances are you will be using more bandwidth for browsing than gaming anyway. $45 for 60GB, sounds like Rogers Express cable?
-
-
You need to switch to Teksavvy! Cheaper, same speed, 200GB cap for cable! ^^ And actually they rent their cable lines from Rogers, and DSL lines from Bell. (FYI Rogers gave me 3 months for free so I am stuck with them for the next 9 months or so lol)

-
Absolutely, their tech support is excellent also. I had them for DSL for a while before I moved, then I found out they now offer cable in Ontario, gutted! >.< Rogers even offered me 20% off to stay on for an extra 12 months, which I kindly declined.
They have their own section (and reps) on DSLreports.com -

Ima go with NetLimiter2
pretty cool little app with other interesting functions.
Nice stat system. U can see how much a game has downloaded/uploaded since ever/year/month/day/hour.

ok, I so played Starcraft 2 for 2 hrs online. And this is what showed up after...It showed that I used up almost 6GB

That sounds very wrong.
Are you sure you don't have a virus, because there is no way any game is going to download and upload that much.
You either have a virus or you're downloading a torrent.
Do you have any antivirus installed? -
My laptop is less than a week old and I'm not downloading any torrents. I have Microsoft security essentials and Malwarebytes
Edit: So another 2 hrs has past, during these two hours my laptop was idle or used for web surfing. The meter barely went up
Edit 2: I just played another hour of Starcraft and it went up by another 3GB -

You mentioned Lord of the Rings Online, does the same thing happen when you play that?
-
The question is, is the app running correctly? Look at the Peak upload and downlaod speeds........52.01MB/s per piece. Your internet service isn't even capable of that.
