Just a quick question, does it run on laptop with C2D T5500/1GB RAM/GMA 950?
It's not a selling point for me (about to order a laptop), but still it'd be nice..

I tried hat once on my SZ2 which also has a GMA950 besides the NVidia 7400. And while it was playable it got hairy pretty soon. When the world gets big and populated is stutters badly. You should be able to play smaller levels and with lowered details but you will NOT be able to enjoy Civ4 as it is meant to be.

If you're looking for a great 4X-Game (isn't that what Civ4 and others are reffered to as?) to play on a GMA950 I'd recommend Glactic Civilization 2. That is perfectly playable in the GMA950 and is at least as good as Civ4. Have a look -> www.galciv2.com

I actually manage to run CivIV _ok_. Not smooth, but on low graphics there is no problem on my machine. I have a Pentium M 1.73 and 1gb ram.

That's what I said. You can run it but you will run into troubles once you play larger worlds or want to enable some higher settings. Galactic Civilization 2 in contrast runs perfectly on the GMA950. It is the underappreciated but better game compared to Civ4 anyway.

I can run it on the old emachine in my sig on low end graphics. Just make sure you download the patch.
