    Hi all,

I'm new to the tread but was wondering if anyone could help me out with something. im considering purchasing a new laptop, i need it to be in 14" range, have long battery (it needs to run at least 5-6 hours solid), and be able to play civ v. civ would be the only game i play as i have a ps3. i found this today:
    Lenovo Ideapad U460
    CPU: Intel Core i5-450M (2.40GHz 1066MHz 3MB)
    GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 305M 512MB
    RAM: 4GB PC3-8500 1066Mhz
Display: 14.0" HD LED Glare 1366x768

I have been looking at Lenovo for a bit, and thats on for 630. im wondering if that graphics card would be able to run Civ nicely. They have another laptop, the Y460, with mostly the same specs, but an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6550M 1GB graphics, 6GB ram, and a dvd drive, however it only has a 6cell battery, with a bit of added power id be worried it wouldnt last to long. and its an extra 100 bucks or so.
    Any thoughts?

The video card in the U460 is extremely weak and the CPU is last generation.

Looking closer now your right. the y460 has sandy bridge CoreĀ™ i5-2410M Processor ( 2.30GHz 1333MHz 3MB ), as well as the graphics and such. that should be able to do civ justice, no? do you have any thoughts on what its battery might be with only a 6cell?

If you're looking for recommendations, it might be better to try on this board:

    What Notebook Should I Buy?

The Y460 specs look fine for Civ5, but it looks like it's no longer manufactured by Lenovo. It might be worth getting a newer model.
