    Hey all,

Hope this thread is in the right place. I have a clevo P150HM from malibal which had a 6990m in it but it died. I am looking at getting a 7970m. I've found one on eBay here:

    Clevo P150HM P151HM VGA Upgrade KIT HD7970M 2GB MXM 3 0B With Enduro Disabled | eBay

Just wondering what you guys think. Will this one work in my laptop? As far as I can tell it will, the only thing is the add says I must have BIOS version 14 and EC 12 for the card to work. As far as I can tell my BIOS version is 4.6.4, 09/08/2011 but that is all I can find. Anywhere else I can get the BIOS info?

    Thanks all

So I will have to blind flash the card even though it says it is for a P150HM? If I am going to have to blind flash the card anyways that means I could buy one that was originally from an alienware or something and just blind flash that right?

no you don't, but this serves as a potential problem solver just in case anything goes wrong, if i'm right though since the guide is only about vbios flashing and nothing else, the card that is marketed as for P150HM should have gone through the steps mentioned in the guide thus it should be plug and play, but its always good to know what to do since whenever you are changing components, you'll have to prepare for the worst
