so, like in the title... do you have any recommendations on the new-old co-op games?
Just played Modern Warfare 2 in co-op and it was reaaaly good! Next on the menu would be L4D 1 and 2.
    Any other recommendations?
The best would be a list, something like "top 10 co-op games" ;)

    Serious Sam HD

    16 Player Co-Op Crazyness.

Plays like old Doom with the style of Duke Nukem, its a $20 game and I am liking it more than L4D and L4D2 so far. No drama, just massive insane killing.

Game seems not too varied but then again nor is L4D2, once there are user created maps for this game and mods it will be super awesome.

Killing Floor is a similar game, its like 6 or 8 player co-op to survive wave after wave of zombie like demons and stuff its also a cheap indie game but I never liked it that much. Serious Sam HD feels a lot better to me also it supports my 3 screen setup better than Killing Floor did.

I took 2 videos, watch them in HD

L4D2 has only been good for me if I manage to find a good group, the dependency of good players and team are what breaks it for me. You get people with no communication and all this team drama. Sam HD doesnt seem to have issues like that.

But here are 2 videos I took of L4D2 where I had a good team, these games were the most fun I had in the game so far.

Last but not least is Borderlands its on sale for $30 I think right now. I really like this game. Its a mix of FPS and RPG, so you and a few mates get together and go kill stuff for loot and experience points.

Borderlands I can play in surround with some hacks but it doesnt work too well zoom gets all messed up so I just play that game on one screen.

Id let the videos pre-load so they dont skip and pause on you.

I didnt take the videos of borderlands with other players but it plays online with others very well.

Its console only (PS3 or Xbox 360), but Army of Two is really fun to play in either Splitscreen or online with friends.
And i bet you can find it cheap too. :)

On Wii you could try out "lightgun" like games like Resident Evil or Dead Space.

On PC you could try playing Rainbow 6: Vegas 1 or 2 or Gears of War in coop.

Total disclaimer. This is my site, but all we do is cover cooperative gaming.

Here's 6 pages of PC co-op games with details: http://www.co-optimus.com/system/4/pc.html

All the above recommendations are solid.

If you like strategy games I recommend checking out Sins of a Solar Empire or Battleforge.

Also Sacred 2 is a great Co-Op RPG.

ViciousXUSMC, I love that Eyefiniti setup! SWEEET! How'd you record those videos? Pretty spectacular to record and play at the same time with high fps. Someday when I get some decent coin, I'll have to go that route. But more likely get a projector again. That was some fun gaming. Maybe three projectors would be the way to go!

I started Serious Sam single player. It's major paranoia. LOL. Fun though. Great arcade shooter.

Fraps set to half @ 30fps so it records 2800x960 and will instantly drop my fps from what ever it was to 30fps or less.

I then encode the video by splicing it together with avisynth and running a filter to reduce it to 1920x400 and running it through x264 with a very high quality setting to give me a great H264 file.

I use the same avisynth file to encode the audio with NeroAACEnc to give me a very high quaity AAC file, and then I mux the two together with MKV Merge.

The result is a video as high of quality as possible with the lowest file size possible. H264 and AAC are the two best codecs period.

3 Monitors is good, esp nice big 24" monitors HD projectos that do 1920x1200 would have cost way more and required a huge space and dedicated area. Though I did want to do that myself.

Youtube butchers the quality of course so if you want to see the quality of my videos you need to download the ones I uploaded directly:

Here is one of the Serious Sam HD videos - http://rapidshare.com/files/316442661/1-muxed.mkv

I'd edit that if I was you to remove the link, I got an infraction myself just for linking directly to some pictures I had hosted on my site. You will get one for sure for actually linking to your site.

Vicious, where do you live? I gotta come over one day. Your four little ones and my two little ones can entertain themselves while we game all day.
