Ok, this is an older game, I got it a while back on a Steam sale (of course) and I enjoyed the other CoD games for the campaigns primarily, as I don't give a rat about their MP. In any case, what is up with this game?

(spoilers abound if you haven't played yet so just stop reading)

So far there are two missions that I've gone back and played a couple times and can't seem to pass them no matter what. One is "Karma" where you're supposed to rescue this girl for some reason (does plot matter, whole thing isn't making sense so far, so who cares). First time I didn't know it was a timed event. There was no indication as such, so I took my time moving forward, well then I sprinted near the end to catch up to them but then poof, I failed. Next time I sprinted the whole way to the end and I still failed, could never catch up with them. I don't get it. How the heck am I supposed to pass this? Looking at the YouTube videos they take their time and end up reaching that dude that kidnapped the girl and kill her.

Another one is "I.E.D." where you control the various vehicles. I take out every stinkin' tank and horse riding RPG and those on the mountain well before the convoy approaches them and my trucks always get blown up. For some reason the videos on YouTube show them able to blow up tanks in a few shots too, but it takes me forever to do so.

So far this campaign has been lackluster in general and not nearly as enjoyable as the past CoD campaigns. It just feels thrown together with a hodge podge of missions with no real premise. Jumping from past to future to present and wherever they feel to take you. Annoying.

To put things in perspective, the story in BLOPS2 was a lot better than MW3, Ghosts, and Advanced Warfare. The pinnacle of story for the series was MW and MW2.

I think Treyarch did a lot of nice things for the single player that seem to have been dropped by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer. I liked the multiple path options (yes, I did play through all scenarios), the challenges within each mission to get gear/perk unlocks and the ability to select your load-out.
