i play CoD1, so am not an expert on 2, but i'm pretty sure that quite a few still play CoD2. you will easily find a game to join.

just a bit confused... CoD came out for pc, CoD2 came out for pc.... where did CoD3 go? only to the consoles?... thank god CoD4 is coming for pc
-
yep CoD3 was a ps2 i think. i don't follow console gaming. PC FTW. anyway. i think they ruined CoD4 by making it modern. there are already to many modern ones, like ww2 ones i guess, but they could have a gone a different route and focussed on germany or italy or france or something.

cod3 unfortunately isnt out for pc, cod4 is totally different, which makes it so much the better

CoD2 has a HUGE fanbase still. At any time in the online servers, I'd guess 1000+ people are in a game. So I'd say probably 10,000+ regular players. I love the game, and the only reason I haven't played for the last month is because of work.

Both COD and COD2 were developed by Infinity Ward, both games and their expansion sets were dedicated for PC (except COD2 Big Red One)...
Then, somehow, for some sorta weird reasons, COD3 was developed by TreyArch, which was only released to major next-gen consoles, XBox 360, PS3, even Wii, and that pissed off a lot of COD fans... including me...
Anyways, yes, COD4 is back for PC, only because it's again being developed by Infinity Ward. Some people say (need confirmation on this), both Infinity Ward and TreyArch take turn to develop the COD series, so, most likely the next version (COD5) will be developed by TreyArch...so there you go...
I still play COD2 on regular basis, and there are still tons of people playing, people still creating new maps and mods... it's such a blast... -
I have CoD3 for the wii, its nothing special. Same old thing all over again. Except you play for the Canadians, SAS and of course Airborne at times.
(i only ever played CoD the original for the pc before so i've no idea if any of the above is old or not)
