    Hey everyone,

I've been getting into sniping lately and I find it fun to just sit around and pick people off one by one. But sometimes I run into a guy with an assault rifle or SMG head on, and I'm always the one who dies. I watched some videos on quick scoping on youtube but they didn't help much. Can anyone explain how it works? I know you're supposed to have sleight of hand pro, stopping power, and steady aim, and that's all I know. Do you need to hold your breath as you're pulling up the scope or no? And how soon do you shoot after you pull up the scope? Or do you shoot as you're pulling it up?

Another thing: my friend and I co-founded a clan, and we currently have 12 members, but we're looking for more skilled players to join. This is a democratic clan, every member has a say in every recruiting event, scrim, tournament, etc, so there'll be no kings or queens, everyone'll get a fair share. If you're interested in joining please visit thevigilant.darkbb.com

    Thanks

    Hunter

If you want to quick scope thats all you should be doing, so switch the stock scope for the ACOG. It has shorter range but that is better for medium range kills.

Steady aim is not necessary, I would swap that out for something more useful like ninja pro.

So if I'm using the standard scope, then I don't need to hold my breath? I just shoot as soon as the scope is fully zoomed in?

Why is quick sniping even in a tactical fighter? Isn't quick sniping an oximoron?

I've never played as a sniper before so I know nothing about it. But I'm guessing that it's mainly for situations where you find someone mid-range, and you don't have your scope pulled up and your breath held. Kind of like how prone, sight, shoot is a "cheat" for face to face combat for SMG/Assault, quick scope is the snipers' equivalent.

Quick Scoping/ Drag shot is pretty much, you see someone, guess where the center of your screen is, scope in and drag over them while firing. It takes practice. I can manage shots but killing is a different story depending on whether the rifle has a silencer or if I'm using Intervention/Barrett or WA2000/M21 EBR.

quickscoping is just trying to get a lucky shot because your in a crappy situation and its last resort. of course they are going to win the majority of the time thats what assault rifles and smg are for medium to short distances. carry a shotgun secondary. that is what i do

edit: no one posts videos of failed quickscoping. they post the ones they got lucky on.

To be honest it really doesn't matter which perks you have; if you have good reflexes you can pretty much quick aim anyone that comes by before he presses the trigger
