$48 for a game that introduces nothing new except another outlandish, ridiculous propaganda filled campaign is too steep.

Wait for it to be around $10 IMO. I'll still play it, but not for $48. These FPS games aren't realistic or real. They really need to get off the bandwagon, yay USA. Kill the towelheads and the commies BS. It's tiresome.
    - I'm enjoying Rage a lot more than I enjoyed COD games just because it's not some USA propaganda, patriotic drivel.

there's a huge difference between obvious fiction and propaganda. i'm so confused. the whole point of CoD is an outlandish and over the top campaign.

the story is hardly pro-USA. The whole story is that the lieutenant general of the U.S. Army Rangers goes rogue and starts world war 3. How you came to your conclusion is beyond me. I can't really fault you for not paying any attention to the story, because that's really not the point - the point is over the top action sequences over and over, till the end.

Who buys it for the campaign anyway? It's all about the MP.

Well, even though i buy CoD for its MP i still enjoy the over the top campaign alot! So it would drag the game down not having a cool cinematic campaign, even though it aint that long...

I'm still surprised that people missed the target so much:

    A. It's obviously sensational fiction as a style choice for the setting of over the top action

    B. The main plot point is that the USA military goes rogue and starts world war 3. Thats not exactly pro-USA. Also, a lot of the scenes focus on the British SAS. The main protagonist of MW1 is a Brit. How did you decide the game is USA propaganda?

Took one post to derail this thread. That must be some sort of a record.

If you preorder MW3 ($60) on Steam you get a free copy of Call of Duty 4.

Yep. All recent call of duty games (at least the previous 2 titles and the upcoming title) activate on steam on the pc, no matter where you buy it.

I could not agree more. The SP is ok, but am I the only one who feels that you don't really play the campaign? It is a massively scripted scenario with a few scenes in between where you run around an shoot stuff. That is why the CoD franchise is less appealing to me lately.

Will try MW3 though, but without any expectations really.
