Due to the recent lack of decent video games, I'm thinking about getting this game. One question though, do you get to prestige on PC when playing multiplayer or is it console-only again?

I disagree, WaW is a great game. It all comes down to your preference, personally I love the WW2 era. Also, yes it has 10 lvls of prestige on PC.

And do I have to patch 1.1 before patching 1.2?

Judging by the download size, I'd say no.

I am really trying to like the multiplayer but all the issues out weigh all the pros of this game.

This is on PS3 or course, not sure about PC.

Well, either way, I just bought the game yesterday. I have yet to spend over 30 seconds on multiplayer... There's no Nazi Zombie mode for PC?!

You have to beat single player first.

I'm a huge fan of the CoD series and have tried my very best to get into WaW, literally forcing myself to play it and telling myself I just have to get used to it since I'm used to CoD4.. I'm so sorry but that game is terrible for me and earliert his evening I just had to delete it off of my harddrive... Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though, mine is that it is very terrible.

I really don't feel like going through the single player campaign again...

And for those who don't like WaW, why? I've never heard someone give a legit reason explaining why they don't like it.

Just feels like they cut a lot of corners, its not like they had to do anything, they had a year to create a campaign (IW all ready did most of the work, making the engine) and you think they could have flattened out the multi player issues (PS3), I could go on for days about how much the multi player pisses me off, there is no region hosting, like in COD4, I could be stuck in a room full of aussies, shooting at their head for a second at least, which should do it obv, then they will run up and knife me from like 6 feet away, and then i watch the replay and I look like a total moron, cause its not showing it how it actually is looking.

    end rant/ lol

personally I just dont like WW2, it was a nice change at first, but Modern Warfare is and will be a true classic, I like the modern weapons and the settings alot more, and the fact that IW actually releases patches for the PS3, unlike lazy Treyarch.

I second that. To me, it feels ALOT like a Mod for CoD4. I expected so much more, but I am hating it SO much, I just might buy the $50 Membership for my 360 again, just to play CoD4.

ive gone right back to COD4, just about have all the golden weapons, thats also what I didnt like about WaW, no perks really for completing challenges, i feel like there is something to work for with COD4, blue tiger, red tiger, etc, maybe its not WW2 esque, but they could have thought of something I think.

I love this game. I played it on my dad's xbox over christmas and finally got it for PC a few weeks ago. Fun as hell. Beat it on the hardest mode and then played recruit just to melee my way through the entire game. Is the Russian PPSH really as good as I think it is?

level 15 on solo nazi zombies ftw! (yes, I got mauled a few minutes later when reloading...)

I just picked up waw for the pc. The single player is great. Being able to shoot peoples limbs off and blow them to bits really makes this game feel much better. The online plays exactly like cod4 with diff guns. Saying dont get this game for pc because the ps3 online lags is completely irrelevant. PSN was never known for having top notch online play. To sum it up, if you liked cod4 you will like cod WAW.

How does this make any sense? I enjoyed COD4 but found WAW only mildly interesting (luckily I played the demo, which saved me from buying the game). That's not to say you won't like WAW, as it's a WWII version of cod4 with different maps and touched up graphics.

That's worth the $50 in my opinion. I'm playing it right now on solo and having a friggin blast (the custom zombie maps I downloaded don't work online unfortunately). And, since I'm no console gamer, when I moved from xbox to PC every single weapon had sniper-rifle accuracy since I could aim with my mouse instead of two thumb sticks lol.

When I hear someone ask should I buy so and so game, I answer solely on the game play. Obviously if you hate WWII then this game is going to let you down. When I say if you liked cod4 then you will like cod WAW I am talking about game play and anyone on here will agree cod4 plays the same as cod waw. And as you stated in your last sentence, "That's not to say you won't like WAW, as it's a WWII version of cod4 with different maps and touched up graphics." i mean come on you just said it yourself.

Ill say it again more clearly, If you like cod4 game play then you will like cod waw game play. (it is the same engine)

zombies mode in cod 4, and with cod4 weapons would be great though.... good game... not better than cod 4, its more like today's kind of war, cod 5 has slightly better graphics, game play is the same, but older weapons and history, world war 2 can make it boring for some players.... love zombies mode though... in multiplayer of course cod 4 totally wins.... lets see if they compensate this in modern warfare 2! thats sounds like a promising game

    JaV!

That is your opinion I guess, but they do not play the same.

You have to use different tactics to be good, and I do not like it.

I have to camp if I want to do well in a map, or be the only Canadian stuck with a bunch of aussies, and Im hosting. and I hate camping.

COD4 I could run and gun, and not worry about someone just spawning behind me. Hell I have seen people spawn 3 feet in front of me. This was the same during the PC beta I played, and is not a console isolated issue.

All in, im just getting at that they dont play the same, and I am forcing myself to play, to like it, so ive just gone back to COD4, which alot of ppl have. There are easily the same amount if not more players on COD4 then WaW, PS3-wise anyways.

    This is again, my opinion..
