How come every time I host a Nazi Zombie game, no one joins? And my friends can't see the game when they search?

Co-op play on the PC version has been borked since day one. To this day, I cannot join any co-op/zombie games. GG Treyarch.

Well, there are several different patches out (4 or 5 now maybe) and it doesn't require you to update to the newest one so...that's probably your problem.

    That was mine anyway.

I have 1.6... I'm assuming most people have that one too? But I'm surprised that whenever I look for zombie games, usually only a few (less than five) comes up.

its a router issue, try enabling the DMZ on your router so people can connect to you. This worked for me.

DMZ is rather dangerous though, make sure you have an anti-virus program

Best to open all the correct ports than open the DMZ. I know this can be a major pain in the butt though.

Not even, it's the exact same thing as running without a router. There's no added danger just because you aren't behind your router's terrible and insanely easy to crack firewall.

I host Nazi zombie games all the time on CoDWaW, and people join pretty quick, if they aren't joining for you, get the latest patch, and either set up DMZ, or use port forwarding.

This site might help a lot, www.portforward.com

This is very un-true. On the consoles, servers are run by the central Live and PSN servers, on the PC, servers are hosted by individual player's PC's. There's nothing wrong with this, and in fact it's much better since it allows for use of the console, custom maps, and more local low latency servers. But you have to fix your router to allow the game to expose your IP so other people can connect to it. Just like EVERY other pc game.

I'm not using a router... my ethernet cable is plugged directly into the wall, and since I'm living at school, there's no way for me to change the main router's settings.

lanfix is a exe that starts the game in coop mode, with this start, you are able to see lan servers, without this exe start you can't see any lan servers.

it is a exe game starter that allows you to see lan games in game.without that you cant see, unfortunately.

you install it and then you are able to play cod5 lan games. but also you can play it in lan with other players, that are not connected to your router on internet in lan.

so it is like half online it makes it possible to make you play in lan without building up a REAL LAN connection.
