    Hi all,

In Call of Duty 4 on my XPS M1330 I have the settings turned right down (all the extra niceties switched off) and ingame my FPS ranges from 60 when indoors to 30 when outdoors.

I'm really happy with this considering the graphics card (the better card, not onboard). However the time it really struggles is when I'm actually firing where it gets really jerk (I guess because of the extra rendering of the muzzle flash). Just wondering if anyone else has the same issue, or if there are certain settings or drivers to change that will reduce this.

    Thanks!

try different drivers but don't expect miracles on the 8400m gs

You can play pretty smoothly on all low settings on a 1024*800 setting.

When i use to play on my other M1530 with the 8400GS it ran very well on those settings.

the 8400 gs is not a very strong card as others have said update your drivers and try lowering the settings. ;)
