Hey guys. I'm considering ordering an m1330 in the next few days with the following specs:
2.2ghz C2D
3GB DDR2/667
8400GS
160gb/7200rpm HD
The rest of the specs shouldn't effect gaming, so I'll leave them out.
Now I do have a primary gaming desktop where I do most of my playing, but I'm hoping to do a little on the go gaming with whatever desktop I choose to buy. I play mostly CoD4 and CoD2, but I dabble in just about anything. If anyone feels like sharing their CoD4/m1330 experiences, or even better has SCREENSHOTS, PLEASE post them up here. I've been rummaging through these forums and haven't found much. Thanks in advance!

I don't have an M1330, but I can do slightly better than a screenshot of CoD4 running on one...

Heh yeah, I've seen this video and others like it. It is helpful, but without FPS count or any record of the resolution or settings, it doesn't tell me much.
-
Id say your good with low-medium settings and still be able to get 30+ FPS.
-
It runs great, search my posts, I posted a few screenshots from my m1330.
You'll have a better m1330 than I do, and I run cod4 1280x800 at med settings 35+ fps and it looks great
Before this comes up, it REALLY does look good at low-med settings. I can't stress that enough, don't let the thought of playing cod4 at 'low' settings stop you from getting an m1330. It's a very nice laptop -
I just hate how it looks on lower resolutions (below 1280*800) on widescreen monitors :/

Thanks condo, I actually don't mind running CoD4 at low settings. If I'd like some eye-candy, I'll use the desktop (e6750/OC'ed 8800gtx). I'd just like to be able to sit down in a coffee shop and play a few rounds. I looked through your posts and didn't find anything. Could you link me those screenshots?

here's the same laptop running crysis
if the 8400m gs can handle crysis, albeit on low settings, with no lag, it really shouldn't have a problem with cod4 on low-med settings either -
COD4 runs perfectly on mine without no lag on all high settings =]

All high eh? Any chance we could get some screenies?

There is a thread dedicated to screenshots taken from notebooks with 8400m's. I should know I started it
. Me and some others have posted screenshots of cod4 running with fps counters shown. I have much lower specs than you will. (1.66ghz processor) and I run it on high at 640x480 and it doesnt look that bad. I also end up with ~100fps indoors, not fighting anyone just looking around. And stay up around 40-50fps under fire. I only have the demo though.

The settings I have are more highish than full high. The screenshots are taken at different from what I am running now. -
Thanks johny, I've been looking for something just like this. Not sure why I didn't find it on my own.

can any give me a detail setting for the graphic on the in game setting for 8400m gs that will allow me smooth play.
-
It looks better in-game, trust me
at these settings

You can turn the settings up a bit with better drivers, like 169.28. They give a pretty good performance boost.
Let me know if you want more screenshots -

Yep not too shabby condo. Did you ever get the FPS? I wouldn't mind some more screenshots either, if you have the time
CoD4 on 8400GS?
