    CoD4 patching

    for CoD4, do you need to install all the patches one at a time from 1.1 to 1.7 or can you just install 1.7?

    Also is there a comprehensive patch?

    You will have to upgrade each step. It was a pain to do, but they are not too large; nothing over 100mb I believe. I never found a cumulative patch, but it may exist.

    Hey man, I doubt theres anything comprehensive. Its usually a step by step process like gengerald said. Its like that in many games, I wish there was just one that would make it all better.

    I'm sure you can just do 1.0>1.6 then 1.6>1.7?

    Yeah just checked, that was what i did when i re-installed the game.

    Exactly. There is a 1.6 cumulative patch that requires no previous updates, but 1.7 is only available in an incremental patch that requires 1.6. So, you only need to download 2 files. Could be worse.

    I'm glad I have CoD4 on Steam, it takes care of all the patches for me. :D
